As you train in Taekwondo you will stretch, run, jump, kick, punch and many other things. All of these lead to better cardiovascular health as well as flexibility and building bone and muscle strength. Taekwondo training is also an excellent way to loose extra weight and tone and build the muscle you already have. Stress is one of the great killers of our society.  Taekwondo can help relieve stress in your daily life. The act of exercising, kicking and punching is a great way to relieve stress.

 

Mental Benefits of Taekwondo

Taekwondo helps build confidence in both Children and Adults. As you journey through your study of Taekwondo you will build confidence in your abilities as a Taekwondo artist. In Taekwondo you will be asked to perform moves and patterns, first individually with an instructor or as a group, and eventually on your own as you progress. All of this is done in the supportive and nurturing environment of your fellow students and instructors. Self confidence is built class by class, week by week.

 

What do Children Gain from Taekwondo?

Children benefit both physically and mentally from the training of Taekwondo with increased self-confidence and self-esteem, children's attitudes change, and their self-discipline improves, both at home and school.
